Jay Medley’s Key Lessons Learned – Newk’s Atlanta

My guest this Thursday Sept 22 at 5PM EST is Jay Medley, a restaurant entrepreneur who is opening Newk’s in Atlanta. Newk’s is one of the fastest growing franchises in the nation and Jay was my guest on SBR in March, where he shared great learnings from his early development stage.

Jay will provide us an update of KEY learnings since our last visit and plans for his Grand Opening in early November 2011. This is a MUST Show for any Restaurant Entrepreneur or anyone starting a new business.

Listen to this show by Clicking the Player at the End of this Post.

You will learn the key mistakes to avoid and best practices for starting a fast growing restaurant franchise.

We will also learn the WHY and hear what is motivating Jay as an entrepreneur. We believe that entrepreneurs should focus on the Why and put less emphasis on the what, how, etc.  Why are you doing what you are doing.

Newk’s is a franchise that is growing fast in the Southeastern U.S., whose owners previously started McAllisters Deli and have a great track record of success. Newk’s isan express casual dining experience offering fresh tossed salads, sandwiches, pizzas, soups and cakes that are all made from scratch. I have eaten in several of their restaurants and can attest that they are fabulous, very affordable and the food quality is very high.

Jay Medley is originally from Gulfport MS and graduated from the University of Mississippi.  Jay spent many years as a successful Financial Advisor with A.G. Edwards, but always had the desire to go out on his own and start a business.  Jay now resides in Atlanta GA with his wife Randi and three children.
