Dewey Hammond is a Managing Director at Four Bridges. Dewey’s corporate finance experience includes advising businesses on mergers and acquisitions. Prior to Four Bridges, Dewey founded the investment banking department of a southeastern regional bank and he started his career as a business attorney, representing clients in acquisitions, venture capital, debt financing and licensing contracts.
He’s also worked as a chief financial officer for a private waste management company and as a part-owner and manager of an early-stage software/consulting company. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in accounting. He is also a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and has a M.B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Andy Stockett is a Managing Director of Four Bridges. Andy has a background that combines Capital Markets, Corporate Finance and CFO Operating experience.
Formerly, Andy was a Senior Vice President and Department Head at Raymond James Financial (NYSE: RJF) reporting to the Chairman. Andy was also one of six members of the firm’s Capital Markets Commitment Committee. He served as a Syndicate Manager and was responsible for the pricing, distribution and aftermarket trading of IPO’s, follow-on financings and debt offerings. He cultivated and managed relationships with major Wall Street investment banks and regional firms. During that time, he served a term as Chairman of the Southern States Securities Industry Association and sat on SIA committees relating to Governmental Affairs and Syndicate Affairs. He also was a member of the Investment Association of New York.
As a partner in a Financial Advisory firm, Andy structured and funded direct investments in several private companies and acted as a consultant in helping a company complete an IPO.
His operating experience comes from joining Big River Grille and Brewing Works, a $7 million revenue company, as CFO and growing it to over $90 million in sales. During this time he completed a $50 million acquisition of Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurants, a stock buy-back, sale/leaseback transactions, and a $60 million recapitalization. These transactions involved negotiating with Private Equity Groups, Mezzanine Lenders, Senior Lenders and existing shareholders.
He has a B. A. degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. In addition to the Series 7 and Series 63 licenses, he is a Series 24 Registered Securities Principal.
Andy also serves on the Board of the Chattanooga Metropolitan YMCA; is past President of the Board of The Chattanooga Nature Center; is a past member of the Baylor School Alumni Board; and is a former board member of the Chattanooga Ronald MacDonald House, where he chaired the annual “Share A Night” fundraiser. And Andy is an avid outdoorsman.
