I recently stumbled upon a great podcasting site and wonderful guy, Cliff Ravenscraft of GSPN.tv . Cliff and his wife Stephanie produce about 10 shows per week and have a great entrepreneur story of persistence and following their passion. I highly recommend you visit GSPN.tv and watch Cliff’s Blogworld NYC presentation – it’s only about 10 to 15 minutes and well worth your time.
Here are 4 Great Points:
- Start with the Right motives. Don’t just go start something to get rich, but make sure you have the right motives, passion and skillet to be successful. The money will come when you have the right motives and you are persistently following your passion.
- Establish meaningful relationships. Today’s world of social media has in many ways caused people to be less connected. I often find folks that have 10,000 friends on-line, but they actually only know about 50 of them personally. Business is still done face to face – so get out and develop meaningful relationships and don’t make it all about you.
- Give away as much FREE content as possible. If you have great content, traffic will come and you can sell premium products and services.
- Be patient – it takes time to build a business. It can take several years for a business to become cash flow positive – have a strong plan and commit to working the plan.
